Summer Season!! More Workshops Announced!

Summer Weekend Screen Printing Courses

I am very happy to announce I will be running another round of screen printing weekend courses at The Island Art Space this summer on the following dates. 

June: 14th- 15th

July: 26th-27th

August: 23rd-24th

From 10-16:00 each day. 

On the course you will be introduced to a number of screen printing methods mainly focused on the photo exposed stencil method. 

Using drawing, text, material and photo based imagery you will learn how to create and print multi coloured screen prints.  

learn how to prepare your designs to expose onto a screen, how to prepare and expose images on to the screens, mixing the inks, registration methods and printing your own edition of screen prints. 

Then there will be the opportunity to learn how to extend your designs with paper stencilling and screen mono printing. There is also the opportunity to learn printing onto textiles. 

The workshop will introduce you to all the equipment needed to continue screen printing at home and in a professional printing studio. 

If you have already had some printing experience you can come to the workshop to develop any new ideas or pieces of work you've been wanting to print.

There courses are limited to 5 people per workshop so everyone can get the most out of the weekend. Book now to confirm your space. the course fee is £90 unless you have a studio at the Island art space in which case it's £80 for the weekend. 

Basic materials and all equipment is provided.

February Screen Printers @ The Island Art Space

We had another amazing screen printing weekend at The Island Art Space on the 22nd Feb and again everyone made really cool work. Thanks for coming and a massive congratulations on the excellent quality of the final prints produced. We hope you had a wonderful time on the course.

Great Screenprinting Workshop at The Island Art Space!

A great time was had by all last weekend for the January weekend course at the island art space, We were inspired by the amazingly high standards of the work produced by people who had never screen printed before!! Well done to all involved!

Look out for more weekend courses coming up at The Island.  We're nearly fully booked for February and there are only a few spaces left for March so get in touch to book a space and get involved with some great screen printing fun!

Studio Sessions: Personalised Screen Printing and Relief Printing Courses & Weekend Workshops

We are happy to announce that we now offer personalised printing courses for up to two people at our artist studio in Bristol city centre at the Island Art Space.

As well as a range of group workshops teaching introductory to intermediate screen printing we have now started to offer personalised printing workshops. Weather it's for a project you've been yearning to complete or a complete start up of a new art form, these personalised studio sessions are entirely catered to what you as a new comer or as a practicing artist want to get out of printmaking,

We offer 1 day or weekend courses in:

• Screen printing- photographic and hand cut stenciling,
• Screen mono-printing,
• Woodcut printmaking,
• Linocut printing,
• Combined methods,
• Printing without a press. 
• Using Photoshop to develop your prints

Courses start at £75 for the weekend.

Your tutor on the course has over 16 years of printmaking history and a first class distinction for MA Multidisciplinary Printmaking.

Equipment is included in the workshop.
