Tyntesfield Workshop

The recent workshop a Tyntesfield Manor was a free workshop which introduced and led the national trust youth panel through the process and art of screen printing. Using photographs and hand drawn imagery we created a large 6' by 3' banner about one of the house's more recent occupants, Doreen Norman. We used images of the house, decorative elements such as wallpaper and drawings made from accounts of her life to frame a large portrait in the centre of the banner. It is to be displayed in the house and is the first part of the 100 stories project at the site which aims to bring out the history of the house through youth workshops. It was a great day and a real achievement to get such a large piece done in the space of one day. Well done to every one who came along!
